We don’t play with cinema, it’s the nature of cinema that plays with us, so swear it not a sin, in sun I held the vacant courage to let all messages in and out,, past time, where we came in, so many and so, living as the art, working life, for nothing if not in love, all ways, more in accord with the nature of revelation, revealing revels, concealing invisibility, translucence is the magic, the word that is, key to play from a natural tuning, open to hold free, trapped in a solution to a riddle that won’t ask again, that taught me how I should remember not to think, but reflect within refrain, all from which I won’t swear to abstain, to repeat, every origin, there is not new, except what’s been forgotten, for give us our deeds, and deliver us in, to temptation, over and over, woo ever, ah men …. live poetically, it is always today, the air changes, color arranges, in mirror ponds, down out let streams, swimming up, giving out, drifting with the current, along the way, what mystery is here, we are all the answers, finding what question awaits …

www.cheapjoes.com — Welcome to Artist Palette Productions at Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff I learned my craft by painting local nature scenes. I would go out on location and just take some color and start laying it in. I really like Aspen trees (or Birch trees as people in the west call them). I like to start off with some really interesting wonderful color and let the paint mix on the page. It’s much more exciting that way. You can spend 5 minutes mixing a color in your palette and by the time you get it on your palette it probably won’t work. Just have fun. Don’t try to control it, because if you do you’ll run into all sorts of problems with this. First I have to get the color in here and let it mix and dry a little bit. When the shine goes off of the paper when it gets wet, when you put water and paint on the page it will sit on the surface until the paper opens up and accepts the color. What I can do now to save some time is I can block in some dark trees. Paint your group of trees as one unit, then you can go back and fine tune and showcase a certain area of certain tree. I started with a green, then I went to a purple and I went into a red over here. Let’s see what happens here. Just work the brush any which way. I like to stand up when I paint, then I get the action from my shoulder, as opposed to sitting down where the action would come from my elbow. I like to try all sorts of different mixtures. If someone tells me I can’t use a color with this color I often ask myself …

Relaxing Music & Ocean Waves, “Reflections” from Sounds of Kauai

Beautiful meditative scenes of Kauai’s rugged shoreline out to Mahalepu in HD. The music is a song called Reflections from my instrumental album Sounds of Kauai (Available at Amazon, CDbaby, and iTunes). I came across this tidepool during a hike. While the sun illuminated the boulders on one side, the other side shaded the pool, which allowed the lighted rocks to reflect on its surface. Every now and then a bigger set of waves would come through, sending ripples through the pool and blurring the mirrored surface. Slowly the reflections refocus, making the spot one of my favorites.
